Buying a Langstroth Nuc
Nucleus colonies are supplied on different frame formats, so it is important to choose a nuc that matches your hive.
National and Langstroth brood frames are different sizes and are not interchangeable. If you use a standard Langstroth hive, buying a nuc already established on Langstroth frames allows the brood nest to be transferred directly into the new brood box.
Our nucs are supplied on five ANEL Langstroth brood frames.
Flow Hive Compatibility
Our Langstroth nucs are compatible with standard Langstroth equipment, including Flow Hives.

Overwintered or Summer Nuc?
We produce both overwintered and summer Langstroth nucs.
Overwintered colonies are established during the previous season, overwintered with us and supplied in spring once they are developing strongly. Summer nucs are established during the current season and supplied later in the year.
