Eden Honey Bees began with a few hives in Myddle, and now includes apiaries in Shotatton and Lyneal, with additional sites planned across North Shropshire.
Each location offers varied forage through the year, shaping the flavour and character of our Spring and Blossom Honey, while one site - Shotatton - also produces our Himalayan Balsam Honey.

Myddle Apiary

Our home apiary and the heart of Eden Honey Bees.
Set among arable crops, our apple orchard, wildflower patches, and the gardens and woodland around the village, Myddle provides a rich and varied forage mix from early willow and orchard blossom to summer wildflowers and cover crops.

This apiary contributes to both our Spring Honey and Blossom Honey, producing a light, balanced honey that reflects the mixed countryside around the village.

Shotatton Apiary

Located close to the Weir Brook, our Shotatton site sits among wildflower meadows, lime trees, sweet chestnuts, mature woodland, bramble, clover, arable cover crops, and spring oil seed rape.

This is the only site that produces our Himalayan Balsam Honey - naturally light, floral, and beautifully smooth.
Shotatton also contributes to our Spring and Blossom Honey, with its diverse forage giving those honeys warm, rounded notes.

Lyneal Apiary

Situated near woodland and water meadows close to Colemere, Lyneal provides a calm, sheltered setting ideal for strong, resilient colonies.
Forage here includes early willow, bramble, and spring OSR, followed by clover and extensive wildflower meadows through the summer.

Lyneal contributes to both our Spring Honey and Blossom Honey, often producing honey that is slightly lighter and more floral thanks to the meadow forage.

Growing with Care

We are planning to establish more apiaries across North Shropshire, with new sites hoped for this year once final locations are confirmed. Expanding gradually helps us support stronger colonies, diversify forage conditions, and maintain the same hands-on care across every hive.

Each site - current or future - is chosen for calm surroundings, good forage, and minimal disturbance, helping the bees thrive naturally.
