Honey With a Real Connection to Your Land

For farms, estates and other businesses with a suitable site, we can establish and manage beehives on your land specifically to produce honey for your business.

Henry manages the colonies throughout the season, and when there is surplus honey to harvest, it is extracted and kept separate from our other apiaries.

The finished honey can then be jarred and labelled with your own branding, giving you a product produced by bees actually living and foraging from your location, rather than simply putting your label on an existing honey.

How It Works

1. We look at your site
We start by talking through your location, the surrounding forage, access and whether it's suitable for keeping honey bees.

2. Henry manages the hives
We establish the colonies and Henry takes care of their ongoing management throughout the beekeeping season.

3. We harvest your honey
When the colonies produce surplus honey, it's harvested and kept separate so its connection to your site is maintained.

4. It becomes your product
Your honey is extracted, jarred and supplied with your own branding, ready for you to sell or use within your business.

Honey Shaped by Your Landscape

No two sites, or seasons, produce quite the same honey.

What the bees forage on depends on what's flowering around them at the time, while the weather and strength of the colonies influence how much surplus honey is available to harvest.

That means the colour, flavour, texture and quantity of your honey can naturally vary from one harvest to the next.

Rather than trying to make every batch identical, we keep each site's honey separate and let it reflect the place and season it came from.

Honey Made for Appleby's

At Hawkstone Abbey Farm in North Shropshire, Henry manages hives specifically to produce honey for Appleby's Dairy.

The bees forage across the farm and surrounding landscape, including flowering leys, hedgerows, woodland edges and farmland. When there is surplus honey to harvest, it is extracted separately from our other apiaries and supplied as Appleby's own seasonal honey.

The finished jars carry Appleby's branding, giving them a product that has a genuine connection to the farm and the landscape their customers already associate with the business.

As the forage changes through the season, different harvests can have their own colour, flavour and character, creating a product that's distinctly theirs.

Could It Work for Your Business?

This can work particularly well for farms, estates, visitor attractions, hospitality businesses and other organisations with a strong connection to their location.

Every site is different, so the first step is simply to have a conversation. We'll consider the surrounding forage, access to the hives and the practicalities of safely managing colonies on site, as well as what you'd like to do with the finished honey.

If you have a suitable site in Shropshire or the surrounding area, we'd be happy to explore what's possible.

Talk to Us About Your Site

If you're interested in producing honey from your own land, get in touch and tell us a little about your business, where you're based and the site you have in mind.

Every partnership is different, so we'll start with an initial conversation about the location, what you'd like to achieve and whether the site could be suitable.

From there, we can talk through how it could work for your business.
