Raw Shropshire Honey | Small Batch | Unpasteurised

Honey from our own bees in North Shropshire - never blended or imported.

Harvested during the height of summer from our apiaries at Myddle, Shotatton and Lyneal.

At this point in the season, the bees are foraging on a wide mix of summer flowers, including bramble, clover and lime, producing a light golden runny honey with a smooth, balanced flavour.

This is our classic summer honey - the jar most people reach for first.

It works just as well in tea and porridge as it does drizzled over yoghurt or used in cooking and baking.

Each apiary’s honey is kept separate rather than blended, so batches can vary slightly depending on what was flowering nearby at the time of harvest.

Available only while each summer harvest lasts.

What to Expect

Texture: Runny
Flavour: Smooth and balanced
Best for: Everyday use

  • Raw and unpasteurised
  • Minimally filtered
  • Unblended between apiaries
  • Harvested in small batches
  • Produced in North Shropshire

Every jar is batch numbered for traceability back to the apiary it came from.

Because this is a completely natural British honey, colour and flavour will vary slightly depending on the season and forage available to the bees.

“Delicious honey, loved equally by adults and kids in our house!”

“Love this natural raw honey and the fact that it is produced locally.”

All raw honey will naturally crystallise over time. Some batches stay runny longer than others depending on the natural sugars in the honey.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does Blossom Honey stay runny for longer than Spring Honey?

Summer nectars such as bramble and clover generally crystallise more slowly than spring forage, giving blossom honey a runnier consistency for longer.

Why is this honey lighter or darker than previous jars?

The colour of honey changes naturally depending on the dominant forage available to the bees during that particular part of the season.

Is the honey filtered?

Only lightly strained during extraction to remove larger particles of wax while retaining the character of a raw honey.

Why do you keep apiary batches separate?

Different locations produce noticeably different honeys, even within the same season. Keeping batches separate allows those differences to come through naturally.
